The latest update, version 0.release.582652206, is currently exclusive to Pixel 8 Pro devices and is not yet available for older Pixel models. While users won’t directly interact with the app, it runs in the background and manages on-device AI models that power features like Magic Eraser and Photo Unblur.
Google’s vision for AI in Pixel devices is to eventually incorporate generative text and image capabilities directly into the devices.
